Buses4Learning

Once we’ve sorted a roof over their heads, and a bus to provide meals to those less fortunate, the next most important thing we can provide is Education and Support. And that’s what the Buses4Learning concept is all about.

First we will work with the homeless to try to identify and help them overcome the events that lead up to them sleeping rough.

We will support their personal growth and aim to increase their sense of self-worth and self esteem by firstly believing in them and encouraging them to do good deeds within the community.

Whether that’s volunteer at a local charity, paint the local churches fences or any other deed that is asked of.

That will help each of our guests feel much better about themselves, and each will receive positive praise and encouragement from within the community, helping rebuilt their self worth and self esteem. From there we need to help them learn key skills to rehabilitate them back within the community and employement.

Online Vocational Skills and Training:

Vocational qualifications are a great way to ensure that the skills and knowledge you demonstrate in your job meet national industry standards. We will work with existing providers to provide our guests with the most beneficial courses to help them gain successful employment.

Finding New Buildings in the Dust of the Old

With the continued and growing emphasis on sustainability in construction we could be on the verge of a radical shift in how we think about the current stock of buildings. Single-family housing construction accounted for $48 million of the total $125 million generated in the industry.

Construction Honored with AGC Builders

Last night, Construction was honored to accept a Best Builders Award from the Associated General Contractors of Vermont for the construction of the $31.3 million Vermont Public Health Laboratory. There is so much to celebrate about this project – from both a construction and community perspective – and it was so gratifying to have that impact formally recognized in the contracting community.
